I bit the bullet and booked yesterday, more than I had hoped for but I decided that I didn't want to do indirect for 10 days, I was worried about delays and being stressed with 2 overtired teens. For me to get the price cheap enough to consider it meant a late arrival and early leave from MCO and I want as much time 'on holiday' as possible. Paid £2017.00 flydrive, direct GTW - MCO Virgin flights for 3 Adults Oct half term.

How did you manage this, the prices I'm getting for 2 adults and 1 child direct on Economy Classic are £4,600?

Phew! Finally booked our flights - now onto finding a villa.

Booked ABZ-MANzMCO 9/10/2019 through Virgin (via Danny @ Charter Travel): £2500. Probably more than I was wanting but means I don't have a 4 hour drive from Glasgow.

Hoping to now make a saving on the villa which I can put towards flight upgrades.

used dialaflight. Have used them for long haul flights before to Dubai and Las Vegas always had great service.

The guy did 3 flydrive prices direct both ways which I took or indirect money 1900 or indirect both ways 1600.

Edited at 10:18 PM.

That's a fab price, I'd have jumped at that, the prices tonight are £2871 with a car for 8 days, just a bit more than I was hoping for. I'll just have to keep watching. My mind hasn't been completely on it recently with work pressure and family stuff a well as Christmas etc. I'm now ready to start seriously looking. Thanks for the reply.
It’s such a waiting game. I’ve been looking since the 11 month mark, and have been dismayed at the direct prices - Thomas Cooks are laughable, Virgin dropped to about £2.5k without luggage (I would have 100% preferred direct due to my lively 2 year old). Someone had said to me to play about with BA custom trips, and sure enough it was cheaper booking a flydrive, than just the same flight. I was looking for the one via Dub on the way there to do preclearance. Might be worth stalking the bad site, as this was cheaper for us than anything Skyscanner has found.

Good luck
