TPA to GLA via ?

Flights coming up in October/November ( hopefully ) Outbound is GLA to MCO via DUB so that should be ok . However flight back might be via Gatwick or Heathrow . So my question is ... if I prebook seats on the flight back to Gatwick today but the flight gets changed to via Heathrow do I need to pay again to prebook seats ? Or will I get credit from the already prebooked seats ?
Hope I explained myself properly , lol .

Thanks, Carol

If that were to happen I would think if you phoned the airline they would rebook seats for you. Alternatively they would refund you and advise you to rebook them yourself. You wouldn’t need to pay twice for seats.

My opinion would be that you would be able to select seats on the new flight without paying again.

If you do have to pay again then BA do have an online form for claiming back pre booked seat fees.

Am I just niaive but if it's the same flight but changed from Gatwick to Heathrow due to BA pulling flights from Gatwick then they shouldn't need to change your seats or do you think there are two flights that will be merged? In which case if you've already paid for seats then BA should move them without charge or refund you. Not had this experience myself though just my thoughts

Thanks for the reply , it was more if the plane changed then the seats picked would differ . Hanging back from picking any yet .

Thanks , really don't want to pay twice . Grudge paying at all but 2 of the party are nervous flyers so best to pre book ... maybe near a toilet so we don't have to queue for too long !
