Little things that put you off villas/hotels etc

Are there any quirky things that put you off choosing a hotel or villa? For me I really don't like shower curtains! If I saw a villa that only had shower curtains and not screens it would really put me off. This year however I will just have to get used to it because we are staying at the hard rock hotel and I think all the showers are over the bath with a curtain.

I don't like motel-style hotels with outside ateps and balconies/walkways.

North facing pools, or a pool that's in the shade of the hotel building.

Beds with floral bed linen or a similar old fashioned pattern. Just makes me feel like the bed is going to be old and dusty, don't know why...

I can cope with most of the above except mucky carpets but a diryt water overflow outlet in a wash basin gives me the creeps.The one at Pier 60 was green yuk!

I don't like not having a fridge either in a hotel room
