That’s been really helpful, thanks. We got such a good price (£371 for 15 nights, Int SUV) that I don’t think we’ll get better!

I think it has a lot to do with what you paid in the first place,our s group car hire is showing we paid €570 for 18 days (booked as fly drive) which i think is quite cheap,they want another €250 to upgrade to z group.Thanks for the post

It is strange when I use this it only offers 2 cars as upgrade
The car I have is Ford Edge or similar (Car group W)Rental price 522.68 GBP But I did not pay that much and my voucher is worth £435 The system offers me upgrades for Chevrolet Tahoe or similar (Car group Z)Rental price 722.70 GBP Chevrolet Suburban or similar (Car group L)Rental price 918.72 GBP It does not offer the option to upgrade to Car group S which would be one car up from what I have booked and on checking the price it shows as Chevrolet Traverse or similar (Car group S) Rental price 536.30 GBP However when I ring BA they ask for over £200 plus £25 fee but they also tell me they have hit a problem and put me on hold before coming back with upgrade prices that do not seem right

If you select the car from the drop down menu, it will then should allow you to get a quote for that car.

Thanks for posting this. It has saved me hanging on the phone as I must have paid rock bottom for my car.
It's £230 more for the group I've already got. |

I upgraded my car last week from Ford Escape to Ford Edge for a small refund. A couple of times I have tried to check upgrade prices of the other classes online and each time get an error message
Guess nobody else is having this problem?

Ok so finally got around to ringing up BA and quite glad I did.
So we booked a flydrive last September and paid £1490 for 2a2c and group F int suv. Which I didn’t think was too bad. The Avis voucher says the rental is £475. So I checked online (as above) and it said Group F £383 Group W £411 Checked on the ba app for an additional car (so probably rack rate) Group F £428 Group W £468 When I rang up I’ve upgraded to group W and got a £109 refund including £25 admin fee. This number is local rate, option 1. Took about 5 min to get through. ≈0344 493 0787 Thank you everybody |

I can’t check mine online as keep getting an error message something to do with our Avis preferred number.
