We are due to fly May 11th and I guess as suggested we just have to sit tight and wait until nearer the time. It's just so terribly sad and today I am really angry ( it will pass ) - all the planning, anticipation etc . We had seats in the Bubble too which I was really looking forward to, night at The Hyatt booked etc etc .Apologies if this sounds really trivial when things are so serious.

Don’t apologise , I could cry myself it’s really sad . I had a heart operation in Dec prior to which was so poorly, DH didn’t think I was going to see Christmas ( he told me after ) so this trip was so needed... but now I cannot even go to work !
Think we can all be sad if we want to ... hugs to everyone for the lost dream xxx |

We are due to fly 7 May, our insurance won’t cover us to change dates, especially when there is FCO advice in place against travel to USA and this doesn’t have a date attached to it. So will just have to wait for them to cancel our holiday.

It the same boat, although only flights booked with Virgin, hotel & tickets booked through Disney directly. Just going to have to wait it out for now, although I'm pretty resigned to the fact that we won't be going in May, hoping we'll be able to move it to September/October

It seems currently even people covered by the FCO 30 day travel ban (like us) aren't able to get a refund from VH yet! Lots of angry people on Twitter yesterday after they changed their policy to only allow rebooking or get a voucher. We were hoping for a refund. This may help their finances in the near future but won't help them in the long run as they will be losing loyal customers like us!

We’re due to fly on 30/04 with BA. I’ve seen many people posting that BA have contacted them and cancelled their flights for dates in May. We are of the opinion that our trip is highly unlikely to go ahead, however at this moment in time it appears as if airlines could be running a reduced schedule. When there is an update on EU travel to the USA we will know for definite if our trip will be cancelled.

We were due to do a fly drive 23rd April. Our dates sit just outside the 30 days so we will have to sit it out. I don’t want a voucher or date change for the following reasons.
1. My insurance won’t cover me for the date change against Coved 19 2. Daft as it may seem, we don’t know what airlines will still be operating when this is all over, and I want the money in my bank not theirs. 3. My employer has wrote to me to say I cannot cancel my holidays, so I am now stuck with nowhere to go and 11 days off my holiday allocation for the rest of the year. They are worried about staff all asking for time off at the same time when this is all over. In future I will never plan a holiday so far in advance again. Last minute.com all the way for me now and money stays in our bank. |

We're playing the game of chicken with them on our dates at the moment as we're not due to go until the end of May, however, I don't see how things changing by then from their current situation... but, if they lift the flight ban then we'll have no option but to go out there.
I don't fancy re-booking for September as we could find ourselves in the same situation so would rather have our money back and we can re-book at our leisure once we see the situation improve.
