Another vote for Dylans. You can see Lombard St as its only 300m from Dylans. You then pick up your bikes and cycle onto Fishermans Wharf, Turn left and then follow the cycleway, up and over the Bridge before dropping down to lovely Sausolito. You dump your bikes there, get your own lunch and then pick up a minibus that takes you through Marin and up to Muir Woods. After this, they pick you up and return you to either Fishermans Wharf or Chinatown close to Union Sq. The commentary (in our case from Adam) was excellent.

A truly special day and worth every penny (or cent).

That was my thoughts straight away. We went to SF last August & did the 6 hour tour. It included all the main sights of SF & many extras, went over GGB to Sausalito & muir woods. Worth every penny. Small minibus / group, guide great fun, full of info & takes photos on yr camera for you.
We also went from LV to GC & stayed over - great idea! We used the free bus around the rim.
Can you squeeze in a visit to Monterey aquarium - we loved it

The tour is 'Bike the bridge and shuttle to Muir Woods'. You will find it on their web page.

Sorry about the late reply!
