Ah such short memories people have. The last proposed Virgin pilot strike was only nine months ago !

Portofino Bay have given us late check out till mid-day. I just hope we get to fly later today.
Have you had an email/text/phone call advising you not to check in until later than the official time - if you haven't and just chose to arrive at the airport check in late because of the delayed flight you could be denied boarding. Please double check everything.

Depending on the reason for the delay you may be entitled to EU261 compensation so bear that in mind too.

Yes, we’ve had a couple of texts and emails telling us about new check in times etc. We had already done online check-in for the original flight yesterday anyway and got our boarding passes. They have now confirmed departure as 23:00 but their flight status tracker and google has it leaving a little earlier at 22:46.

Have a good trip: almost identical countdowns:we’re currently in LGW Hilton ready for our flight tomorrow!

Just sat in universal and read this thread so thought I'd check our flight on Sunday. It is delayed, was due to leave MCO at 19.50 but its currently delayed until 21.30. But there is a note to say arrive on time unless we have been contacted as they will try and improve the delay.
Considering all our other issues this holiday I am NOT surprised! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🙄

We quite often book a hotel for the night before at Gatwick but this time opted for a car transfer mainly because our return was into Heathrow anyway.
Would have been a harder decision with a Gatwick non refundable room in the mix
Safe travels and a great trip to you too.
