Tui cruise for 7 days. Each day it’s some where different. All excursions safe days wephere you just get off the ship into some great places. Worth having a look I felt very safe doing this type of holiday after my husband passed away.

Jersey Channel Islands is lovely solo, very safe and easy to get around either by hire car or public transport. Lots to do as well as chilling on the beach (assuming decent weather). Can recommend L'horizon or St Brelades Bay Hotels at St Brelades Bay, both have swimming pools, good gyms and lovely spas.

How about Nice. Lots of beautiful places to visit using the excellent train services to Monaco, Cannes Villafranche and Grasse.

Rome... with possibly a day trip on the Frecciarossa train to Pompeii thrown in (1 hr 10 plus the local Circumvesuvia train to the site).
Rome has it all.. and it is all within asking range if you stay in the centre near to the 'wedding cake' building (Altare delia patria).

Or use the trains in Europe and hop over the borders. |
