Really recommend anyone giving it a go

Beware that on our trip last Easter most of the 'A' list rides were out of operation. For us, 2 days was much too long. We were on a San Francisco to San Diego West Coast run and all agreed that those two days could have been much better spent elsewhere. Having said this, It was still our best USA vacation ever as a whole.

This may well have changed as they build up towards Star Wars and in addition, we may simply have got unlucky.

We stayed at the Clarion, it was cheap (a bit dated, budget but actually fine), there were loads of hotels on the walk between the hotel and the parks, its just how it is, the parks are pretty much just off the main road. Theres a McDonalds right opposite the entrance to the Disneyland area and then a few hundred yards in you have the bag checks then the entrances to The two parks and downtown Disney all together, so much different to Orlando.

I think it actually took longer waiting at crosswalks than it did actually walking.

Talking about it has made me want to book again now for next year.

Have a look at flights and hotel Packages on Expedia its where we booked and was all seamless

We went in October half term and paid 1700 total for 2 adults 2 kids with direct flights with Thomas cook and the hotel, we only ended up going as we had been quoted 1500 for 5 nights in a centre parks!

Yes. We loved Magic Mountain and would sooner have had two days there and an extra day in San Diego than the one at MM and the two that we spent in Disney. All of the rides were operational other than California Screaming

It would have saved us plenty as well because our Airbnb at Anaheim for 2 nights and our Disney tickets were way overpriced for what we got.
