We were in block 29, room 13 back in September! Maybe we crossed paths!
IT was a bit of a walk away from HH, but not too far away.. About 5 mins walk.. BUT close to the bus stop outside block 27 and what was a real bonus was that we were the first bus stop off when we come back from the parks after a long day (Apart from the DTD bus which stops at HH first THEN to our stop on Peninsular Road). The downside to that is you are the first ones on when the bus is on itsway out of the resort, but it's not such a bind really.

We were originally allocated block 27, but on the top floor and we had an ECV booked for the Father in Law so we had to move 2 blocks further away.

The 2 bed villas are huge and we loved it, you won't be disappointed at all.

Regarding the food, we used Goods to Go at night mainly.. But did get non carbonated drinks so they didn't go flat. It's definitely a good tip.
Olivias is nice, the service is good and the food is too. So it's worth visiting IMO. But obviously any more than a couple of times and it could get a little samey...

An alternative transport of the boat to DTD is a nice change, very relaxing... And we used it A LOT.. And tbh, I think because of it we went to Downtown more than we'd planned and that's next to HH so about 5 mins walk MAX.

We've stayed twice and will be staying again this August. A couple of tips from us:

(1) Do use the pools - we were staying near Turtle Shack and had a couple of half-days by the pool there, which meant that we could use our refillable mug at the snack bar there plus using our snack/QS credits for lunch. Also note that the laundry is adjacent to the pool, so if you are in a studio, you can "multi-task" - washing and tanning!

(2) If going out at night in the car, take the refillable mugs with you to stop off at Hospitality House for a late-night brew.

(3) Not forgetting the poolside movies that are shown outside Goods to Go/Gurgling Suitcase. Fairly sure that during August at least they are shown most days.

(4) When visiting MK, use the bus rather than your car, as the bus drops you and picks up form the bus station directly outside the MK Main Entrance. Worth it even more if you are planning to leave after Wishes, as the queues for the resort buses are nowhere near as bad as for the monorail/boats back to the car park.

(5) As noted above, the boat to Downtown Disney is a nice 20 minute ride. The boat drops you at Westside (near Paradiso 37) so a bit of a walk if you were planning to visit Marketplace. However, this stop is near to Wolfgang Puck Express Westside - great use of a CS credit for those on DDP/QSDP.

Enjoy your stays.

You were there then while we were! We went 10th-24th!

I'd love to have gone back this year, but we couldn't get the room.. SO we've gone for SSR instead.

Many thanks for the tips so far. We will have a car but the tip for a mk is a good one. Also for collecting drinks from hh.

The kettle tip is onboard! I'm taking tea bags / decaf coffee. But DH is into strong, fully caffeinated up stuff so a kettle will be very handy!

A Massive tip for us

If you fancy a hot chocolate in your refillable mug, just ask at the counter of goods to go, they give you 2 sachets of the powder, if your children are likely to not drink it all, just use 1 sachet of the powder and save the other

we love the pool at Turtle Shack, have a swim / play in the pool for a hour, have a drink in your mug, then back to room and out again

We have purchased a kettle from Walmart now

Buy yourself a USA Extension lead ( from walmart or before you go, or even a normal UK one with a travel plug ) then a few US USB charger plugs ( i have 6 delivered to the hotel from ebay, $1 each ) as most of out electrical stuff is USB now, so we could charge a few things at the same time

Another big bit of advice for us, whiles goods to go is a fairly poor QS food choice, just down the road, about 5 mins in the car is PO riverside, it really is easy to get to, the food court is great, we would often jump in the car and go and have tea after one of the parks
