What do you look for in a villa?
Not long for me now
I'm just curios as this is our 4th stay in a villa and on the pics it looks amazing. However when we booked a package it was AOA, very hit n miss. My criteria is Spotlessly Clean, my home is so i want my holiday home to be Well equipped, but not cluttered (we have had a sparse villa and a villa with so much clutter i couldn't think) Spare bedding in good condition Comfortable bed Hairdryer Good area, one year we were AOA in St Cloud, oh my days we passed through a really undesirable neighbourhood to get to and from the villa, then one day we got hit by another car in said neighbourhood. Within 5 minutes all of his aqcaintaces had arrived it was very intimidatind and the police took 35 minutes to arrive. Now we DIY so we can choose were the villa is Furniture that's not tatty and a games room for my boys. I also hate those plastic plants they seem to put everywhere, ds has a dust allergy so on the first day i round them all up and put them in the garage and put them back on the last day. Would love to hear other peoples requirements Pip Edited at 10:51 AM. |

We look for
Enough bedrooms for everyone to have their own space Suitable for adults - minimal Disney (full size beds, even if singles in some bedrooms) Nice pool (hot tub, especially built in a bonus) plus fully covered Decent space around the pool to lounge and sunbathe and have a good sized table for al fresco dining Wifi Not overlooked on the back Kitchen with enough equipment to be able to prepare cooked breakfasts and basic meals Preferably Davenport/Championsgate/Ronald Reagan Parkway area |

When we have stayed in villas in the past, I looked for:
Near to Disney e.g. Sunset Lakes. Pool overlooking a lake or nature reserve. Definitely not a brick wall with villas the other side. Modern furnishings but no glass tables (safety hazard for DS) Large, flat screen TVs Monitored Alarm Gated Community. Next time, I'd like a covered lanai as well. Edited at 11:34 AM. |

Pool overlooking a conservation area if possible and privacy
Modern pool furniture, not plastic crap ones Pool spa Covered lanai Immaculately clean looking Absolutely no chintz American fridge/freezer as I like an ice dispenser Large flatscreen tv Games room Detached Extra bedrooms as we like a room for luggage etc Must have smart modern curtains that cover the window near the tv as cannot stand glare Bbq if possible Wifi 3 bathrooms South/south west pool etc Excellent reviews from previous quests We are staying in a 6 bed this year even though there is only, DH and my 2 boys but it's the only villa I kept on coming back to when I was trying to decide and was free for my dates.

I wouldn't ever book an allocation on arrival villa, purely because I like to know exactly what we're getting.
I look for: wifi telephone good sized pool and space for sunbeds not being overlooked in the pool bedrooms away from living area (so I don't worry about disturbing my kids at night) plenty of sofas/chairs in the living room General decoration (nothing to chintzy or cluttered) any extras for kids (games etc) |
