All the main car hire companies use the multi-storey directly opposite the internal flight baggage reclaim hall. Once you have your cases, exit through the doors in front of you and cross the road at the zebra crossing towards the car rental offices. If you are going straight to the garage, walk to the end of the offices to your left and you will see a lift which will take you to the Alamo part of the garage although I cannot remember what floor you need, it will be marked.
Hope that helps Debra

Go to 'tampaairport.com' hit 'Ground Transportation' hit 'Alamo' then 'Directions from arriving flights' and/or 'Skip the counter'. The site also has useful maps and details for exiting and arriving at the airport. It's a nice place to fly into, without the hustle of say Orlando MCO.

In Aug 2014 it was on level 2 taking the lift as you suggested. However, in Aug 2015 the kiosk was on the ground floor behind the desks.
Obviously it may have changed again this year so best to check the airport guide at the time of travel with the links given in the previous post. Jill |

Can't remember floor, but I remember it did not have a great selection. Just follow the signs and it will take you across the road int othe garage. About 5 of 7 seater vans and 5 full size SUV's. So not a row to choose from, but part of a row. Having said that, 5 wasn't an issue.
