I had a meal here last year- just after It opened.
No bread on table, that's been dropped.
We asked for the steak with out truffle fries - just plain as one person hated truffle, 'niot sure we can do that as they are made in the morning and reheated' was the reply!

I had a pork chop, it was served cold and pink in the middle - conversation with server who thought it looked ok, asked for manager who said oh 'i'm sorry YOU feel that way' that got me annoyed as it was clearly pink so I had yet another conversation with the area manager who agreed it was raw.

The meal was comped- well I refused another meal as had lost faith by then. I ended up with fish and chips in EPCOT

I wont ever return here, the theme is bland and the food awful - worst meal I have ever had in Disney in 20 years! I'm really not a fussy eater either- I just know Pork is not supposed to be cold and pink!

Admittedly, I'm not a vegetarian but the menu description didn't sound great and it looked even worse on the plate.

He tried to really sound positive about it afterwards but it obviously didn't agree with him. I wouldn't say food poisoning more a case of his stomach finally passing comment and agreeing with the look of it.

I really like the look of the decor in The Ale & Compass, the menu looks good and I'm guessing a lot of the stuff will be similar to the Captain's Grille which had a great reputation. We're staying at Beach Club this year and although it's not on our ADR list, we shall have the odd vino in the lounge.
