Put in suitcase or hand luggage?

So along with the odd glass & mug (not boxed) Ive also brought a lovely big glass star wall hanger for my hall way at home. I was wrapping it up in bubble wrap and cello tape, but I didn’t know if I can put in my hand luggage or not. It’s small enough to fit in. The thing I was worried about was that it’s made of a lot of glass and with being a star shape has some pointed edges. What do you guys think?

How small is “small enough”? You could call the airline I guess. The other option would be to wrap it with as many clothes as you can and make sure it’s in the center of your case. The other option is to post it home...
