WholeFoods is my primary grocery store and I don't think it is more expensive so long as you avoid prepared and boxed foods. Fruits and veggies and meats are not much more than good quality from other supermarkets. I think the prices are the same in the bakery.

If you want a fresh, not frozen turkey, Whole Foods should have it. You may have to order ahead. I am not sure about Florida, but around here we have farms that also sell fresh turkey (our Thanksgiving turkey was wonderful but expensive -$50. for a 16 lb turkey,)

If you can get to Wholefoods then definitely do! It's fabulous, we love it but it's up just off I Drive so probably half an hour from Davenport, well worth it though!

Can we come?

We are in the Shires at West Haven - can we come? I am struggling to decide what to do Christmas day, have booked a restaurant but unsure how we will feel once we are there - its our first Christmas away.

I was adamant I would not cook and would book a restaurant, but now it’s getting closer I keep worrying that the whole experience is not going to be Christmassy enough. I’m still not convinced I’m going to cook though. I’m going to visit the supermarket and see what’s available and go from there.
I don’t want to do dinner unless it’s a proper Christmas roast with all the trimmings. I will do you a doggy bag! Lol 😂

we did thanksgiving in the shire west haven and we ended up going out for dinner in the end, we did a lot of shopping in the pubix that is just down the road from west haven and we did the drive a couple of times to the wholefood store but to be honest we could not be bothered to que for the parking as it was manic, we also went to trader joes and that was ok to but not really upmarket.

One option if you want a nice dinner at home is to buy a ready made one from the grocery store. I believe all Whole Foods do them and also a yummy looking vegetarian one.
