Did I read a while back that the surf and turf at Narcossees was stopped for the DDP in 2016? I may be mistaken or they may have resumed it?

Sure a DIBBer will clarify.

I think Narcoossee’s did take the Surf and Turf off at one point. It had disappeared from the online menu after I had booked my ADR’s but it did come back. We had it this November just gone (on DDP), it was lovely.

Yes the above is correct. When we first had it we got it with a filet steak however it went away and when it came back it was only with sirloin. We had it in September.

I don't eat meat so can't comment on the steak but as a lobster lover, I strongly recommend eating lobster as unadorned as possible and the tail is one of the best parts-lots of meat and easy access.

I love a good lobster roll, and have been known to eat and enjoy a not so good one, but I don't think you get a taste of lobster with an overdressed lobster roll. I actually find McDonald's lobster rolls better than some restaurants who coat the delicate meat with a cup of mayonnaise.

I think you are trying to wind people up.

I've never had a McDonalds lobster roll, which I understood were only available in the North East States, but have read all of the bad reviews and in all of them the shredded meat is mixed with cheap mayonnaise.

The best lobster rolls in Florida are those produced in the specialist food trucks.

be aware that lobster or especially surf and turf at a disney restaurant will cost a bomb and/or use up 2 credits in most cases. Unless you're on the deluxe plan there's a case for having it at a seafood restaurant outside the parks instead. In the parks the lobster roll at Colombia Harbor House in MK is a good option to try it because while the roll isn't brilliant IMHO it'll give an idea and is only a QS credit while also coming in one of the nicest QS restaurants at WDW

Barry,

I've had many lobster rolls in Maine and often will pick up one at McD's for lunch when I am on the road for work. My experience has been that the lobster is fresh and there is little, if any, mayo. I don't know where you read the reviews but having eaten probably 20 McD's roll, there is no noticeable mayo. I have tried lobster rolls at other chains (D'Angelos comes to mind) and they are saturated with dressing. There is shredded lettuce and the roll is not the typical roll used in a lobster roll, but for $8.99 you get a good amount of undressed meat and I personally toss the roll and lettuce.

Good fresh lobster rolls are best purchased from a seafood restaurant (or clam shack) in Maine, where when the season is over, lobster is off the menu.

I would not buy a lobster roll at WDW and probably not at a Florida food truck. Anyone who wants to try lobster and taste good, fresh lobster, needs to come up to New England during the season.
