BA Fly Drive / not collecting car

Hi I booked a fly drive as it was cheaper to book package than flights alone. I've decided I don't want or need the car. Can I leave it at the airport without having to inform anyone or pay a charge? I've now booked onto the magical express instead.

I think a lot of people have done this and you don't get a penalty for not picking the car up

I would just tell them out of courtesy though

I have booked the same as was told by ba that the full hire price would be charged again that was if I didnt give the required notice! Cant remember how long before that was!

If you've got a fly drive package, you've already paid for the car. How can they justify charging you again?

Last year my son and his friends never collected the included hire car due to young driver charges. I read the T and c's and it said �40 charge for not collecting car. They never got charged. My son tried to tell them in advance but never got through to correct person.

Don't know if terms have changed.
