Hi Rachel,
We will be staying in a Davenport area villa this August. Feeling a bit apprehensive about it as last year we stayed in Kissimmee which is closer to the parks.

What is Davenport like?

We really liked it- had only stayed on I-Drive in hotels before our last trip. The location of the villa was lovely and quiet (The Manor at West Haven).

I found it an easy drive up to Disney of around 20/25 mins depending on traffic, and around the same in the evenings if we were eating out on the 192 or down to Manny's on the US27. We didn't do Universal last time but I'm prepared for that being a longer drive this time - but we are only planning to go twice in our trip.

Very close to Publix at Champions Gate but also liked shopping at Target at Posner Park which was only a few minutes away. Same with Cracker Barrel for breakfast just out on the US27.

Thanks for the swift reply

We stayed very near to the 192 last year which was so convenient for the restaurants etc

I'm probably worrying about nothing and when we get out there it will all be fine after a couple of days!
