if you could?
if you could afford it, would you stay at a deluxe over a moderate
bit of a backstory. family of 8 so will need 2 rooms. have been to florida a few times but have never stayed onsite looking to do 5 nights at the beginning of our stay next august Was all set to stay at CBr with the skyliner but then came across Yatch Club and i have fallen in love a few points to make *we can afford it but would mean upping our per month savings which would mean cutting back on a couple of bits (not a huge problem) *our kids will be 15,15,12,10,6 and 5 *we not huge eaters and i am worried about the sheer amount of food on the ddp for only 5 nights *we are planning on universal hotel (with folp) for 2 nights after disney so im wondering how we would use the credits! *this may be the last time we will be going all together what with school, Prices and the older children maybe not wanting to come next time ( we go every 2-3 years) im so torn please help me

The Yacht Club is one of my favourites and has massive bonuses for you. Stormalong Bay for the kids, easy access to Epcot (10 min walk) and Hollywood studios ( 10/15 min boat ride)
Plenty of options to use your dining credits around the Boardwalk and Epcot World showcase too. |

You also have to think about the location. From Yacht Club you can walk to two parks. For me if it was affordable I’d definitely do a deluxe over a moderate.

if you love the idea of the resort and can afford it then go for it you'll only regret it if you don't.
We've stayed at the beach club - the location is great one of the best onsite and the rooms are bigger than the mods which is a bonus for bigger families. Food court was not so good but lots of options within walking distance at epcot/boardwalk. having stayed at value/mod & deluxe level resorts I'd happily stay at any again as they are all good in their own way but the differences are pretty obvious.Would I chose a deluxe over a mod? depends on the price difference With the ddp your only looking at doing 5 days so its really not that much food. You can use your credits on the day you check out too so you could always fit in breakfast and/or lunch before you move to universal & use any left over snack credits for things to take with you. |

Stayed at both moderate and deluxe - would choose yacht club/beach club any day - we love the Beach Club or would happily settle for Yacht club - love the setting, the proximity to Epcot/Hollywood studios - just everything about it - Another option for you, have you thought about a 2 bed villa at OKW? - their 2 bed villas are lovely and you have the added bonus of your own kitchen and laundry facilities.

Last year I stayed at POFQ (moderate) and Beach Club (deluxe). POFQ is amazing but I had so many problems at Beach Club that Disney have given me 5 complimentary nights at the deluxe of my choice.

i did have a look at this but if im honest i do have my heart set on Yacht club!
the location and pool are the main 2 things Can i ask why you would pick beach club over Yacht club? i was under the impression that all yacht club rooms had balconies!

Love the Contemporary, we have stayed so many places in the world and I would never really consider Disney Hotels to be truly luxury, but for us the Contemporary has a magic, seeing the monorail, being able to walk to Disney any time. We love it there.xx
