Complete newbie

My fiancé is keen on doing a Disney cruise in 2021- specifically the Marvel Day at Sea one from Miami- I have no idea where to start.

When will the dates be released to book? I believe the cruises sailed Jan-Mar only for Marvel in 2019 and 2020.

Also is it fairly easy to request dining on your own rather than in groups? Do they usually accommodate the request? This is the main thing that puts me off doing the cruise as I would prefer to dine on our own on holiday

Thank you

Hi, sorry for the delay, you wrote this in the trip report forum instead of the actual cruising forum (I'll ask admin to move it for you).

So, booking is easy - either direct or through a US TA is what most recommend. Just don't use a UK TA.

Dates are generally released around 18 months in advance, so for the early months of 2021, you're looking at around October of this year.

You can absolutely request to be on your own for dining and DCL will do their best to make it happen for you.
We were also mindful of sitting with others, but DCL do a fab job of matching you with other families/couples/singles. We have life long friends now from table sharing, we cruise with them again and again. I would say request a lone table, but don't dismiss it if you find out you're sharing. Give it a go first.

Hope that helps
