I'm the same as you - tea first then we'll have a look at it later, hopefully it'll be quite straight forward

DD filled her part in last night, all very straight forward and quick to do. I have to ring today to get DH and my accounts reset, as we had accounts many years ago when our older sons went to uni, but as they are so long ago, the system needs us to ring and reset which is a bit of a pain. It looked as if it would be simple enough once reset as the form was an estimated 10 minute form for each parent.

Just to update, we were very impressed with Student Finance Wales. We did have to ring and reset our accounts as mentioned above, then the next day the website didn’t work (possibly due to amount of people applying) but we finally managed to submit parent’s finances on Thursday last week, and it was very straightforward. DD received a letter today giving full details of her award and payment dates, less than a week since applying, very efficient 😀

DD’s student finance award letter arrived yesterday. Very pleased with the service so far. Another thing ticked off.

Our DD applied yesterday for her 2nd year of student finance took me 10 minutes to do our household finances for myself and DH. Hopefully her letter will arrive in the next couple of weeks.

DD is looking at going to uni September 2020 and I am just crunching some numbers and am a bit unclear on how it works with pension construbutions and parent earnings.

I earn £25,000 a year and pay 6.5% pension contributions through my salary. When I state my earnings do I put £25,000 or that less the 6.5%?
