Is the photos option worth it from universal?
We will be going for 4 days to each park and wet and wild. Is the photo option worth it?
Thank you |

Yeah I'd definitely say it's worth it as you're there for quite a few days. We used it a couple of years ago and were only in universal for 2 days and still found it worth it. You get some great ride photos and there's loads of other cool photo opportunities like on the Simpsons sofa. Just remember to add boarders, if you want them, in the photo connect shop in the park as you can't do it at home like with Disney.

I was wondering this too!
Are the Harry Potter ride photos included in the package too?

For me I would say not but I was expecting it to be very similar to memory maker which it definitely is not.
We got around 15 with universal compared to a couple of hundred (if not more) with disney. If you go for it then please make sure you ask about them as in my opinion some of them are very easy to miss due to where they are (spiderman, Gringotts and Simpsons the main ones I can think of).

We had the 14 day package when we were in Universal in May and managed to come away with nearly 100 photos so it worked out worth the money in that sense, I would just be prepared that the system is no where near as smooth and effortless as Memory Maker at Disney!
All ride photos are included (HP as well)... although you have to go and download any RRR photos separately yourself once home as for some odd reason they can't add it to your account in the parks. I do give a rundown of our experience in my current trip report (days 5/6) if you want any more detail... and some examples of the types of photos you get! |

We found it useful, I agree its not as smooth as Disney's Memory Maker but it was still nice to get photos with all off us in. Plus you get all the ride photos too.
Might have only been me but I did notice that you had to go to the photo machines to add the "magic photo" effect they do.
