Built-In Sat Nav not working properly :(
A huge thank you for the Alamo Guide sticky at the top of this forum. Very helpful and we were able to bypass the counter - it was all quick and efficient. Brilliant (thank you).
I'm having trouble with my inbuilt Sat Nav on my FFAR full sized SUV. Namely, it doesn't work out where we are. I've played with all the setting and it says our villa is over 5000 km away from MCO. Fortunately we had Navimii on a phone and that eventually worked. The print off were a bit useless to us novices. So, any idea how I can get the GPS to function correctly? Can I take it back to Alamo (even though I didnt pay an extra for the option)? |

Think most standard fit Satnavs on US hire cars are disabled so that they can charge you extra to rent one?

It could be disabled or it might need the DVD or memory stick with mapping, or perhaps it's just got itself in a muddle and needs to be reset.
Even if we knew what sort of car it was it would be hard to guide you remotely. If it bothers you then could be worth popping into the Disney Car Care Centre, which is Alamo and National, and asking them to have a quick look. |

I agree with the comments above in that it has probably been disabled in some way as you have to pay extra for satnav rental.

I'm glad the sticky was of some use!
Sorry can't help with the sat nav though, you'll have to contact Alamo! |

We had a Tahoe last year from Alamo MCO with a b built in sat-nav and that worked just fine
I wonder if this has changed since then? |
