Standard SUV Alamo

Really sorry guys I know this has probably been done to death but could someone advise me if a standard SUV will be big enough for a family of 4 adults (the kids are bigger than me and the wife) with 4 suitcases

Should be fine. We had an intermediate SUV in 2013 and it was fine for 2A / 3C with five suitcases (although it was a heck of a squeeze in the boot for the journey to the airport!)

Example of 'the squeeze' (Jeep Patriot):

We did consider leaving a child behind for more space, but apparently you're not allowed to do that.
