Reserving Dining with DDP but no option to select it

Hi

I am going to Orlando at the end of May and have been reserving the dining for each day, but have noticed that I have to add my Credit Card as a security in order to reserve it, which is fair enough, but there is no option to state that I wish to use my Disney Dining Plan when having the meal? is it just automated for people who have the Plan or am I missing something when reserving the restaurants?

The profile states I have DDP when I log in, just no further options when actually booking the tables.

The card is just to secure the table regardless of whether you have DDP. I think they used to get a lot of no shows so they introduced it a while back.
They don't need to know you intend to use DDP until you pay or they might ask (they usually do) at the beginning of the meal

The only meal I've booked where you choose the ddp as crt as it's pre pay. I guess the other pre pays would all be the same.

Otherwise as pp said you just tell them in the restaurants. They tend to ask once you're seated anyway and then explain how the menu works for ddp.

If you book an ADR and can't go for some reason then you must call and cancel as otherwise you can be charged for a no show which they would take from your credit card. They are very accommodating as one day we just didn't feel in the mood for an evening ADR and explained and they were fine and said there would be no charge.
