only just looked at these, as the 14 day ticket is going to cost £220 each, is there any disadvantage of me buying annual passes instead? is there any kind of contract to say you're locked in for a number of years or anything like that? The annual passes are the cheaper option on the face of it.

No you are not locked in we have one power pass and one preferred pass Dhs gets us the free parking discounts on food and merchandise just look,at. The block option it dates for the cheaper passess and make sure you are not looking at the Florida residents pass prices

We got the Power Pass as with staying onsite at Universal the parking benefits of a Preferred weren't relevant. The price difference was so huge we didn't think even buying one would pay off in discounts either. As it turned out the Power Pass gave us half price parking anyway for any days we revisited.

The only negative at the moment is that none of the AP include volcano bay and no idea which if aptly will include it.
Main difference between power and preferred is power has blackout dates, half price parking and no discounts. Preferred has free parking, no blackout dates and around 10% off at most food and merchandise places in both parks and city walk. Benefits and prices of all 4 passes are here ww2.universalorlando/web...omo/index.html

This is exactly the reason I haven't bought an AP yet, we go in March and Nov and we wasn't going to do Universal in March. However pricing up the saving of free parking and discounts, without taking Volcano Bay into consideration it would only cost us £48 more to go in March. However, as we have no idea how much Volcano bay will cost and if we enjoy volcano bay and want to go twice it could cost a lot lot more.
Unfortunately universal will not help with this, until they announce AP access/discounts for Volcano bay and possibly 1 day volcano bay ticket price. |
