Agree with the others, we got 18 days parking with Gatwick Longstay for £95 and we keep our keys.

We do meet & greet, never had issues with any of the operators, maybe we have just been lucky?

We like to keep our keys too. Always book official airport parking.

I've used the official parking once where you take your keys. Didn't like it to be honest, bays are quite narrow, wouldn't take much for someone to whack your car with a door at some point. Didn't happen luckily. I usually use APH, maybe I have a theory that they'd be more considerate towards damaging your car than a fellow parker.

Exactly why I use a meet and greet service!
Both they and I photograph the car, any damage they are paying. Plus I have a dashcam so can see how they drive it and where it's been. I have seen so many cars damaged by door banging and I wont leave mine in a bay anywhere

We won't leave ours with anyone else to park either, preferring to park ourselves and take our keys.
But basically there are two choices for us ... You park and take your keys, taking the chance where you park. We use the official long stay and try for a space on an end or somewhere where only one car can park to one side of us. You let someone else park it. Which I would only do with a dash cam to record where it's been. |

Thank you so much for the replies, plenty to consider and research before booking.

Just a note on official parking. I noticed a last time we were at LHR there were parent and child spaces which were wider and nearer the bus. That was T5 parking.
Haven't seen that at LGW yet but it would be nice! Edited at 08:17 PM. Reason: Typo |

I'm happier to give my keys to someone. I know where they are, rather than getting off the plane jet lagged and hoping they are not in the bottom of a suitcase full of dirty smalls :-)
Always meet and greet, never had a problem. |
