video camera on rides?

I've used a GoPro with a wrist strap, hand strap and small pole mount (not an extending pole as these are banned and rightly so ) at the Disney theme parks and Disney waterparks the last few years without any issues.

Only fast ride I didn't use it on was rock n rollercoaster due to the pull down harness and your movement being pretty restricted.

Straps/mini-pole were fine for 7DMT, Splash Mountain, Thunder Mountain, Test Track, etc.

I did manage to break a wrist mount at Blizzard Beach when I caught it on the side of a slide when pushing off, but I suppose that was my fault. The camera came down a few seconds after I got to the bottom

I ran Gopro on one battery and it lasted for 2 hours and 13 minutes constant filming. I think it was on 4k.

Hero 4 silver with wifi off - I think the Gopro site suggested 2 hours at 4k

I have 2 battery charger and just purchased 13000mah powerbank to boost batteries when away skiing, also as phone charger.

Powerbank vs extra batteries... lighter I imagine, but not as convenient in terms of immediate power. I wonder if we can use those Disney swappable powerbanks they offer for phones?!?

I think the answer to this is no, but does the Hero 4 Silver have the Cloud upload option, and if so was it any good?

That's good to know. I've been late to the party on this GoPro thing and keen to use one this year. I've been with people who've had them, but they don't always bring them to the parks. This year I'd like to film a lot more.
