Can you still bag a bargain?
Hi
We haven't been for 2 years, and with the poor exchange rate and political state, are there still any bargains to be had? I don't seem to see many posts detailing what great things people have got for an amazing price. Will my extra suitcase be coming back empty?!? Thanks |

I get loads of bargains every year, just shop around a bit more. Some of my shopping days are done already in my trip report if you want to get an idea of what you can still get

As the above poster says, it really depends what you are looking for! I went in July and got some amazing bargains.
I got a Kate Spade watch and my sister got an MK watch and we got both for about $150 The MK store has some great bargains, the Kate Spade store does too. I managed to get loads from VS, but in there you have to be willing to route for the bargains. I also got some great CK work out clothes! My stepdad loves Ralph Lauren and got loads of polo shirts for about $30-40 each which is much cheaper than the £75 they cost here! He also got a lovely RL coat for $110! All the above were purchased from the outlet, I never go to the normal malls (except for make up that isn't available in the UK) because of the exchange rate |

Hubbie and I were only talking about this yesterday. I think we need to change our mindset when shopping in Florida. So we will still go to the malls and the outlets but we will be buying treats rather than bargains! The days of filling an extra suitcase are gone for us now as the € practically equals the $ now 😓😓😓

Definitely can still get bargains. Register for discount coupons which really helps with brands like Hilfiger and Ralph Lauren. Certainly can get some bargains if you are prepared to travel a little further from the main tourist areas.

If you have the time you might enjoy reading my shopping report. It's here https://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/sho...d.php?t=964371 and I certainly got a LOT of bargains. This was when the dollar was 1.48 to the pound.
We're off again in March and I'm hoping for more of the same but with the dollar dropping to 1.20ish I will be cautious of this when I'm shopping as to wether something is still a bargain or not.

I tried to include all pics and prices so people could see just how good bargains things really were. Shopping is my fave part of our Florida trips...my husband and sons would strongly disagree lol even though they all benefit as I enjoy shopping them just as much as for myself lol
