Universal 2 Park Explorer. Anyone one else been told this about Volcano Bay?

We are going to Universal from the 14th to the 16th of May so the 3 Park Explorer ticket is unfortunately at the moment according to things unavailable to us as they cannot be activated until the 19th of May. I have been told that if we buy the 2 Park Explorer ticket we can use that from May 14th and then while at Universal upgrade it for free to the 3 Park ticket to enable us to go to Volcano Bay on May 26th. Has anyone else been told this? If so do have details of how to upgrade, when and what date we can do this etc. At the moment there is no price difference between 2 part and 3 Park Explorer hence why be upgraded for free.

I have questioned Universal about upgrading tickets and say there is nothing official at this moment in time.

I would have thought they would have sorted things out by now. Poor service.

I questioned ATD re this and I have had an e mail back from them telling me we can upgrade at customer services before first use. This will cost $25 per person. This will cover the two weeks at Volcano Bay.

I have just phoned my ticket provider and they have just confirmed the free upgrade at the said locations. Apparently this also includes the old bonus tickets too.

Universal's customer service needs to be consistent.
