TIA

Lots of people will say no but it really depends on how long you are willing to queue and how many days you have planned for universal. For me I always want the shortest queue possible to if only doing the 2 days then I would stay overnight at Hard Rock.

We did two nights at Hard Rock last year in October. It was amazing and express passes were great.

This year we are spending our last week at Cabana Bay. No express but with a whole week we can nip in and out as we like.

If you are planning to go on one of the nights that Halloween Horror falls on (which seem to be increasing ) you may find the parks are a lot busier even in the day.

Monday and Tuesday's are markedly quiet in our opinion.

We are staying in the HRH for 1 night to get the express passes.

We are going in October too.

When we went in 2015 we found most rides were around an hour! I often read that people have no queues this time of year but that was not our experience.

It's all subjective. I've seen posts from people who think a wait of up to 30-45 minutes for a ride is acceptable and fair play to them. If that possible length of queuing works for you then don't bother with FOLP.

Personally, I'd be turning into a potential axe murderer if I had to queue for that length of time!

FWIW, we're going late October / November - I wanted a night at RPR so that we get 2 days of FOLP. There's 5 of us going, so if we'd paid for FOLP only for 2 days it would have cost us circa $899 / £ 720 which was a great big NO!

As an option, ( may be worth considering for you? ) we've hired a Premium car for 2 weeks + a night at the RPR ( Club Level Room ) via BA/Avis for £659 less 2% Quidco - every bit helps LOL .

I'd expected to pay around £430-450 for the car anyway... so another £220 or so for a night's stay + FOLP + breakfasts , hors doeuvres, free drinks ( 4.30-6.30 ) and " Sweets Hour " from 8-9p.m. seems like a good enough deal to me. I'm sure my 24 year old son and 7 year old grand-daughter, both with hollow legs! , will justify the cost on their ownsome !

Thanks Mike,

Was the car hire and room a combined deal?

TIA
