No need. The magic keeper comes with a mini screwdriver kit.

Though I much prefer the smaller bands I think we'll be sticking with the bands as I can imagine getting to a park and one of us doesn't have our puck.

Sounds like it's a faff to get out/in the keeper, but probably worth doing if you don't like the wrist band and don't plan to keep swapping and changing.

You're not expected to be swapping them around every few hours. The whole point is that they shouldn't be easy to get in and out - otherwise you (or your kids) might lose the icon.
