I'm going in Aug with my 5 nearly 6 yr old and 3 yr old. Ive bought extra one in charity shop which is suitable for up to 25kg it only cost £5 as missing hood but at least you could justify cost of leaving if don't want hassle of bringing back cannot deal with 2 fighting over 1 in Aug heat and I know long days will lead to this. If you know he will use it or need it take one, I know my eldest will need it

Hi,
We bought a baby trend jogger pram from Walmart, it was a double for our then three and six year olds. Cost $150, maybe $100 for a single. You could contact the villa owner as they may have a suitable buggy in the villa. My youngest will be six when we go this year and we will be taking the buggy with us. My children have all used a buggy until the age of seven, they did not object to the walking, just the heat. We would rather push a buggy than have a cranky child who did not want to walk but was too warm to be carried. My children do not use a buggy at home. Our jogger buggy needs the wheels to be blown up and we found Disney were happy to let you use their air pumps at the wheelchair collection points. Have a wonderful holiday |

We took our 5 year old in May he was 5yr 3mnths and he never used a pram/buggy, he never once complained he was so excited going from ride to ride and entertainment. Going in August this year he will be 6yr 6mnths and I wouldn't even dream of taking a pram/buggy for him, he would refuse to get into it.

We took a buggy for my 6 year old last September, it was a godsend me and hubby enjoyed the evening parade and both our girls were fast asleep! My daughter is petite though and even she felt heavy pushing her around. She didn't go in it all of the time. We won't be taking it this year though.

We went when our eldest was almost 3 (2yr 10m), almost 4 and almost 5. We took a buggy on the first trip, used it about half the time, hired one now and again on the second trip (twice I think due to cost), and didn't bother on the third.
We managed by adapting what we did, with me carrying her now and again (post parade/fireworks), and us stopping for an icecream now and again to give her 10 minutes off her feet that way, but for us that was preferable to fighting crowds with a buggy, and having to go hunt for it when you come out of an attraction.

My DD was 6 when we visited last August. We hired a double stroller from kingdom Strollers. It was fab. She could rest when she wanted to rather then slow us down and it meant she could sit and watch the parades. Plus it was great to store the bags and bottles of water on!

my son will be 6 when we go next year and i keep flitting between taking one or not. We won't be in the parks all day due to going in August but i think it will def come in handy in the evenings especially when walking back to the car or even during the day in the heat.
Tempted to hire one or buy a cheap one at walmart/target when we get there but will probably just take one from home, if he doesn't end up using it its not harm leaving it at the hotel or in the car. When we went a couple of years ago by 7 year old nephew was happy to be pushed in a buggy when his brother wasn't in it.

When we went in 2013 we had a 5yr old and a 7yr old. We took a buggy. It worked well in that they both took turns in riding in it and the 7yr olds "I'm not a baby" attitude went out the window. When they weren't using it we used it to push our stuff around. This time they will be 9 and 11, nearly 12 so no way will we be taking a buggy. We have friends with a 12 and 15yr old and they still take a buggy, not for the kids but for the bags of stuff.

Can't imagine taking a buggy for my 6.5 yr old! She 129cm tall! We will just go at her pace because we don't have more kids so it works
