Late night transportation to Reunion
First time florida visit so need some advice
We are arriving around midnight at MCO this Easter and wondered how to get to a villa in the Reunion resort. I can only think of 2 alternatives: 1/ Book a hotel near the airport for the night (e.g. £120 Incl breakfast) and pick up the car in the daylight, drive to Reunion (30 miles) 2/ If there is a free shuttle service that operates to Reunion that late, use that and pay an extra day at Reunion (£160) for effectively a bed for the night? We'd also need to get to the car hire place in the morning. If we use option 1, how early can you get into the resort, if not the room. Interested in anyone's experiences/opinions. |

Just hire the car at the airport and drive Alamo as one are open 24/7.
Do you not drive at night at home. A lot of the roads are well lit. Edited at 02:19 PM. |

I dont have a problem driving at night, but by the time we have cleared security and baggage and car hire place it's likely to be around 1-2am after a twelve hour trip. Wasn't sure that driving to an unfamiliar destination on the wrong side of the road with a potentially knackered and tetchy family in tow was good for my sanity 😳.

I'd stay somewhere cheapish near the airport. You will just be ready to sleep by that point.
