Hmm Im not sure, you could always buy the ipod over there, and then buy the plug charger for it here, as I imagine the thing at the bottom (not sure what its called, where the usb, charger, attatches to the ipod) would be universal?

Yes. They only come with a USB cable these days anyway (no charger) so you'd have to pick up a cradle/mains charger here anyway (if you want one) I bought an iPod in Boston earlier this year which works a treat. Picked up a mains charger for when I'm away from the PC from ebay for £2.99.

yes,
we have a 60GB iPOD which we bought in Florida Mall.
We also bought from the Apple shop a multi voltage kit, with detachable plug ends.
I also as has been said, use the USB cable as well but get the multi voltage cahrger it takes less time to recharge.

yes I bought a 2 GB one from walmart last year for $145 and it works fine, just charge it off my pc, asked DH about it at the time and it's because Pc's are dual voltage or something?

Voltage nothing to do with it. US-bought iPods work perfectly over here in every respect. Can be charged direct from the UK mains supply.
