Thanks for the pics of Teaks! I've been toying with the idea of going when we go to Universal and I think I'm now sold. Can I ask is the drive there fairly easy from Universal? Can you book a table or call ahead?

I'm the same Julia, not a fan of savoury peanut butter things (apart from my Teak Burger) but I love all things sweet, and mint oreos are the future! So wish we had them over here

It is about 10 mins from universal, we went there after the afternoon in Universal, we needed a sat nav to get us there but very straightforward journey

It is easy yes, it wasn't stressful for us at all (and believe me we get stressed in the car so easily! )
They don't take reservations unless its a party of 10 or more, they operate on first come first served basis, they have indoor and outdoor seating. I never even gave booking a second thought to be honest, it was fine when we went, there were people in there but it wasn't rammed. Hope you enjoy as much as we did

Today we spent the day in IOA and chose to eat at Confisco Grille, we've eaten here a couple of times and I really like it.

We all had soft drinks that were all re-filled at no extra charge, always a bonus!
I chose the Hot French dip. It's beef on a soft french bread with provolone cheese, onion and beef jus on the side for dipping.

I wasn't sure if I was going to like dipping the sandwich in the Jus, but it was actually really really nice!

Chris had Penne Puttanesca and he enjoyed it too, and anything that involves a vodka cream sauce gets my vote

Brandon and Jess had a pepperoni Pizza each and Poppy had griiled cheese again!

If you hadn't already guessed, Jessica took the kids food photos!

The bill came to $59.64 after tax and I left a 20% tip which took it up to $72.

Our server was really nice and although there was a bit more a wait than usual he kept us informed and as I've said gave us refils but didn't charge, so another good experience for us here.

After our sit down meal at lunch time we chose subway for tea. There is a subway within walking distance to our villa, but Chris drove the car round anyway and picked them up while I stayed at home with the kids.

I didn't take photos of them all because most of these you can get at home,
The kids had a footlong, (except for Poppy, she picked from each of ours)
Brandon had Tuna and Jess had a right old mixture of things on hers!

I had 2 6inches

Buffalo chicken - see I'm obsessed!

I love the fact that you have so many different things to go on a sub over here, I had spinach and banana bell peppers on mine in addition to everything else!

My second one which I ate the next day was a Turkey and Bacon ranch with avocado which I enjoyed too but I do adore subways anyway!

The total was $36.43, To be honest I expected it to be cheaper, its about on par with our prices but you do get so much more choice in the US.

Having said that they do run offers each month and in June they had 2 different subs for $2. (one of them was the cold cuts meat) I'm not sure what the other one was, so we could have done it extremely cheap if we had too.

Well Colette, Teak is now firmly on the list for a visit next year! The food looked amazing, even as a veggie I'm sure I could give one of their burgers a go (meat free of course) - and Peter's eyes lit up when he saw your PBJ burger thingy - so guess what he wants now - although he's just like Brandon wanting to order from adult menu and then hardly making a dent in the food!
Really enjoying this report Colette, thanks for sharing. BTW Poppy is too cute! xxxx
