Thanks everyone, it is nice to know people are reading
The cinnamon mash was so weird, I ate like three bites to make sure but yep was definitely not for me! And unfortunately it stays pretty healthy! The heat was getting to me more this year so I struggled to finish any of my food and couldn't stomach grease which I am gutted about now because all I want to do is go to teak neighbourhood grill now I am home! But we did eat a lot of sugary snacks during the day, which I of course forgot to take photos of... I am useless So now onto day 3! DAY 3 Off to Magic Kingdom today! I booked the dessert party for us but realize now it was probably a bad idea as we were exhausted! BREAKFAST Was the usual cheerios, protein shake and I ate the rest of my brownie because I am naughty and it was amazing. Thick gooey brownie with big chunks caramel in it. YUM! LUNCH We made lunch today and for the rest of the holiday but I did not remember once to take a single photo of anything we made! Like I said, I am useless! ME: ham and cheese wrap, pretzels and apple bag LUKE: ham, salad and mustard sandwich, pop chips and fruit I got an ice cream as well from sleepy hollow, it was a chocolate soft serve and huge! Started melting immediately and I proceeded to spill it down myself as usual... Luke informed me that it was my usual behavior and the reason he won't let me wear the nice white summer dress I bought out for dinner because I WILL get something down it I tried to argue this fact and the same night I spilled food down me so he wins this one! I have a half eaten picture from a different day but it looks the same... Dinner was non existent for Luke (saving himself for dessert party) ME: ham and cheese hoogie from the hotel shop... was alright and surprise surprise no photo. I'm sorry! Wishes Dessert Party Got there early and checked in and had an awesome table right at the front with a perfect view of the castle The food was lovely and lots of choice. I must of had 3/4 plates! Luke had 2 and some ice cream. There was loads of fruit, chocolate covered strawberries, mickey oreo mousse things, canoli which was yummy and like cinnamony, chocolate mousse cup, lime biscuity cup, banana profiterole and an ice cream bar with toppings and loads of different drinks. Lemonade, milk, water, tea, coffee. Sorry these are the only food photos I took, I was distracted. Oh and for anyone interested me and Luke got engaged in the morning of this day by cinderellas wishing well so here is photo of that instead of food... Sorry this day has been terrible! DAY 4
Today was a chill out day as we had a late night, we didn't get back to the hotel until gone midnight close to 1am! After the dessert party we left and we were directed through the back area, got the next ferry and got back to car pretty quickly (despite a rude man who wouldn't let luke on the tram despite having three seats next to him and in the end I just got off!) it took so long to get home because we proceeded to get completely lost and ended up in epcot car park! BREAKFAST: consisted of luke having a protein shake and me eating cookies we brought home from the dessert party. Yup breakfast seems to be leftover desserts for me! LUNCH: we made again, wrap for me, sandwich and yoghurt for luke We had popped to walgreens because I got a lovely coldsore and I left with tortilla chips, jalapeno cheese dip, carrot sticks, snapple raspberry tea and peach cobbler & lemon bar flavoured gum. DINNER We went to Chili's for dinner and both really enjoyed it. It was also really cheap and it is a shame we didn't make it back during the holiday as there was loads we wanted to try. Our server was also perfect for us, friendly and efficient without being overbearing. HALF EATEN PHOTOS! ME: Chipotle chicken mex bowl, it had rice, salad, corn and black bean salsa and chicken topped with avocado, cheese, tortilla strips, chipotle pesto and sour cream. This was delish but waaaay too much food I really struggled! I am going to try and recreate it at home. I also had a strawberry lemonade LUKE: mango-chile chicken, which was grilled chicken with a spicy mango glaze, chopped mango, pico de gallo & avocado. With rice and brocolli. Luke had diet coke. This came to $27 + tip which we thought was really reasonable and we loved this meal. DAY 5 We were off to Universal again today and took lunch with us again BREAKFAST: same as usual, cereal and protein shake LUNCH: our usual wrap, sandwich, pretzels and fruit. Luke picked up a yoghurt from simpsons again and we also picked up a pina colada (non-alcoholic unfortunately) which was about $4. We also shared a churro but no photo We ate our lunch down by the waterfront in the simpsons area and did so for the rest of the holiday as it has shade and it was nice and quiet. DINNER Off to Olive Garden for dinner today, we decided on the 2 for $25 deal which includes salad/soup and breadsticks, 2 mains and a dessert to share. It was nice but not amazing, I really like Italian food because I looooove cheese but Luke doesn't really. I dream about the breadsticks from olive garden but don't love the food as much. Last time we went I got the tour of italy and hated the lasagne, it tasted like aniseed? Anyway I am yet again getting off topic and forgot to take photos so here are some google photos again. ME: I had the five cheese ziti al forno, marinara sauce with five cheese blend baked until all golden and yum. It was really nice but way too much food and not as saucy as I had thought LUKE: baked tilapia with shrimp, oven baked with white wine sauce and served with broccoli. Was nice enough but not really for him as he doesn't really like sauce. This was also a $4 surcharge onto the $25. For dessert we got the chocolate mousse cake which we took away with us as we were stuffed! (I took a photo this time! ) All this came to $40 including 2 diet cokes and a tip Edited at 01:59 PM. |
