had our very first ever meal in a Ponderosa in 1993. i love the place and always make sure i go back at least once when im there

For my family this was also the first place we ate on the first night of our first trip in 1999 when I was a nipper, and up until 2011, we'd always go on the first night.
The steak was sub-par/reasonable but the buffet was fantastic and I'd pile plates of spaghetti and chicken wings. This made it good value.

Unfortunately when we visited in 2015, we arrived to find that the hot buffet no longer existed, so no more chicken wings and then all we were left with was the sub-par entrée. So I'm not surprised they aren't doing so well when the main selling point has been killed off.

Will always have good memories of the Ponderosa on I-Drive. would go there, we'd always get the coupon books from outside, then take the free souvenir from the attached gift shop. We still have some old toys we won from the teddy grabber. It's such a shame that it's no longer somewhere for us to visit.

We saw it last Saturday on our way back from the Showcase of Cittus. OH commented that he thought they were long gone
