That seems expensive to me. Did you get free dining on your original booking? Maybe that's why it's so much more if the new quote includes paying for dining plan.
We are due to fly on 10th May 2 adults, 1 teen 15 nights at Coronado Springs with 14 day park tickets and free quick service dining (booked with Disney) Direct flights from Gatwick with BA (booked separately direct with BA) Total £4770. I can rebook the Disney part for next year for £200 extra, but that's without dining so going to wait to see if they release free dining before I change anything, and obviously can't get flight only prices for next May yet.

I suspect the issue will be direct flights from Manchester- since TC went bust Virgin are the only company flying man-mco- prices have been high since then- Tui to sanford aren't much better-doesn't help that we are limited to school holidays

I looked at moving my week at CSR to next year, same dates next year is over 800 more for exactly the same room. going to see if a dining plan comes and decide what to do then.

We have been told if free dining released for our dates it can be added so we are holding off re-booking as without a guarantee free dining it isn't worth re-booking for us - £900 more for no guaranteed dining plan- we'll hold on for a refund

So looks like the quote from my TA was too high as I've had a quote from a different TA for the exact same holiday but only £200 more than what I paid for this year... So I'll see if my TA will price match otherwise I'll have to wait for my booking to be cancelled and I'll rebook with the other TA.
The other TA has also said IF free dining is released they can still add it on to my booking all they need is my old Disney booking number (apparently this will only be honoured for May/June 2020 bookings) . Obviously free dining would be a huge bonus and we've actually never done Disney without it but if it's not released then I'm prepared to pay for it since we'll have been waiting so long for this holiday! Has your original TA included a paid for dining plan in your new quote that could account for the increase? If not, then I'd certainly be challenging it or looking to cancel and book elsewhere.

*UPDATE*
I had a quote from charter travel for £5995 (only £200 more than I paid for this year) I sent that to my TA who price matched (that's £1000 less than they originally quoted me!) I have now moved our dates to May 2021! My parents were already booked with charter for this year and they haven't charged them any extra to move to next year and have been really helpful to them, next time I will definitely book with charter! |
