You can deposit cash in any Post Office with a debit card. Only a few are exempt, I know Nationwide is one.

I must be a Dibb anomaly! I have the same £20 note in my wallet since before lockdown and I’ve had no desire to take any more out 😂

We were out on Sunday morning and the Park cafe had opened. I went to buy some drinks but their card machine wasnt working and I didnt have any cash. (Havent been to a machine for months)
Brother in Law stepped in. He's a builder and window fitter and always gets paid in cash. Had a wad of 50's and 20's bigger than Del Boys! Was feeling all chuffed with himself until Sister in Law saw it! 😂😂 |

Same here - infact I withdrew £50 before lockdown as I was heading to the countryside and for taxis etc. Lockdown happened and of course my Plans changed and the £50 is still in my wallet - think next time I have to pay a cheque into my account I will deposit the cash too as can never we myself using it in the new normal world.

I had a fair bit from people reimbursing me for shopping. I just paid it into my bank account at the post office

This is my argument for still using cash- what if the machines go down? It happens an awful lot and if they are saying card payments then they wont make much money, plus i hate paying by card for a couple of pounds. I went to lidl and bought 2x flour and cheese bread (i wanted more but didnt have it in) came to just over £2. I asked was it ok to pay by cash as i had the change and cashier grumbled and said if i must but wont be able to for much longer.
