It’s due to the fact that some issuers in the financial sector have had issues or gone under during Covid so they are all trying to make a little more to cover the short falls within their company’s.

Other half works in finance and help set up Revolut , we both have cards and still find it best for the USA and we have trialed and tried many !
Thanks for the explanation, that makes sense. As you say it’s not a large charge. I’ll just have to change my plan.

I had an email in June with Revolut’s new terms & conditions especially for transfers outside UK. Assume you would have had a notification also.

No charge here but I assume that's because we get 1 free transaction a month? I transfer my dues payment to Suntrust each month

I’m sure I did, maybe I missed it, thanks for reminding me about the email. I do remember in June that other things were going on in my life, something to do with a global pandemic!
I’m not saying it’s wrong to charge for transactions. I was just wondering if there were other options that don’t involve a charge.
