Stranger Things

I know I am like 3 years late to this party but its something I've always wanted to watch but nervous doing so. I'm the cushion at the ready kind of girl and don't do well with jumpy things. I know there was a scare house at Universal last year so I'm expecting some kind of scares but how scary is it?
I can't even say asking for a friend after that confession..

Ha! I'm also late to the party here, we only got netflix last week! loved the houses at HHH too. binged watched the series first thing we watched, it is that good. and i am a big wimp when it comes to scary films i refuse to watch any, so i would say its not that scary, not in the horror way, more like jumpy in parts!

And now the houses make sooooo much more sense! why didnt we do this before lol

I’d also like to know this, and if there is an age limit on it? My 12 year old dd wants to watch it. My 16 year old ds said, when pushed, there were some embarrassing bits. He couldn’t remember “how far they go” 🙈 but didn’t think it was a good idea. Does anyone else have any more insight?!

I love it, there are some jump scares in the first season but it's more of a thriller in that you can't guess some outcome rather than a jump fest.

There are a few teenage scenes where it eludes to sex happening but no nudity ect and something I would be happy to let a 12 year old watch. It's a great show.

I was late to the party last June, then we binge watched the first two series. After that we only had a couple of weeks to wait for the third series. We love it and went to the Stranger Things secret cinema (it is an immersive experience).

It has horrible looking monsters, but I don’t think it is especially scary. I would describe the genre as supernatural rather than horror.

In the first two series there is one scene in each that indicates sex is happening but there are no naked bodies and the scenes last no more than a few seconds. I can’t think of anything of that nature at all in the third series.

Thanks abiknox and Claudette. Sounds like I’ll let her watch it then - she might need something to binge watch!
