Mobile Name change question!

So I’m gonna be booking my honeymoon this week, got everything sorted on what we want. The only thing I’m unsure about is who to book it under?!

Me and my partner are getting married in June 2019 and will be going to Disney’s October 2019.
So when I book the holiday with the company, do I do it under our names as they are now... or under the names that it will be once we are married?!

So confusing!

The name on the booking will need to match your passport, so if you are planning on changing your name and will change your passport before you go to your new name book it as your new name - if no plans to change your passport before you go, book it as your current name.

Edited to add - I had a passport in my first marriage name so obviously didn't want to travel with this name and didn't want to get one in my 'maiden' name otherwise I'd be with that one for 10 years, so we booked our honeymoon as my married name and got a passport in my married name. It had to be signed by the registrar and was only valid from the date of the wedding but I officially travelled as Mrs New Name!

Edited at 02:19 PM.

Don’t forget that new passport means you must get a new ESTA.

I travelled using my maiden name until that passport expired, about three years after getting married. No issues.

Me too! Absolutely no point getting a new passport until the old one expires.
I travelled on my maiden name for a few yrs after getting married, and am now travelling on my married name even though I divorced last year and have reverted back to my maiden name

Yeah I think i'm gonna check when our passports expire. If it means more hassle in order to change it on the run up to the honeymoon, I might just keep them as they are!

I think I was near on four 🙈

Honestly though name changing is just so much hassle! I still have things registered in my maiden name now!

I would have happily used it for a decade if I'd had a brand new passport - not worth the faff!

One of my passports (dual national) expires this year and I'm trying to work out if I can be bothered renewing it since it can't be done online and I always travel on the other anyway.

I got married last year and am using my maiden name to travel. My passport doesn’t expire until 2022 and I’m too tight to pay just to change my name. It can wait! 😂

Haha me too! I waited until it was nearing expiry - I’m not a fan of my married name so was in no rush
