Orange County Issues Emergency Order to Wear Face Masks in Public

Late yesterday, Orlando County in Florida issued an emergency executive order requiring everyone to wear face masks in all public places. That includes both outside and in indoor public spaces.

Up to now, people have primarily only had to wear face masks whilst in the theme parks. It now looks like you’ll need to wear face masks everywhere in Orlando.

Thanks for this, Nimbus, it's good to see them acting to try and curb those infection rates.

With the increasing numbers of COVID-19 cases, I can see why they had to enforce this rule. There was a mention that they may have to enforce other restrictions if the number of cases keeps on increasing.

I'd say its just going to rise and rise until everyone is infected.

With the theme parks opening up more and more outsiders are going to be pouring into Orlando which is not going to help one bit.

Sadly it seems as though the governor is not aware of the rise!

Yep, he knows how vital tourism is to the economy of the area and is trying to play the numbers down to get visitors to come. However burying his head is the sand is not an option

anybody questioned how they test in florida.

can imagine its 100 times better than in the uk,

it'll be pretty much the same if we tested all the time in the uk. at the mo its if you have 'symptoms' only

I can’t imagine anyone on here goes out to mock someone it’s just many have lost all sense of reality when it comes to going anytime soon.
