Thanks, she's adamant she doesn't want to be abroad when she gets her results, she's worried she won't get the grades she needs and will have to go through clearing and I think she also wants the experience of going into school with her friends for them. I've requested a price for amending the outgoing flight to after results day but I think the cheap flights are no longer available so not sure if we'll be able to do this. If we cancel we only get the tax back but I'm sure that was quite a lot.

There’s a chance of course that the tradition of going to pick up results may not happen in future I suppose.
It certainly wasn’t a thing in my day, we all got them by post.

My Daughter was exactly the same this year for her A level results, sadly she got them by email... I hope things are a little more "normal" for you!

That's us booked, august 20th to September 4th manchester to mco return. Not particularly cheap unfortunately but we had very little flexibility with the dates, particularly returning as the kids go to back to school on the 6th, and we were tied to Virgin to use an open dated ticket from a cancelled holiday.

I'm happy we have direct flights and I'm happy we are premium economy. Just wish it had been a little cheaper. Works out just over £850 each.

Sounds a good price to me we are roughly the same but not PE but at least it’s booked - enjoy

That’s actually very good for PE direct I think! We are going out the same day as you but coming back a day earlier on 3rd September. We’ve booked PE flights with United flying indirect. It came to £2767 for 4 us - 2 adults, 1 teen and 1 child so £691 each.

I need to check the exact price we've paid as I can't quite remember the value of the open dated tickets! I think those flight were around £800 each and I've paid an extra £250ish today. Got to sit tight and wait for confirmation email now as did it all via text which was really simple.

My friends also booked a flydrive with a deposit . Booked with Leanne Thompson Travel who I follow on facebook.

Is that hand baggage only or does it include baggage? I seem to remember that it can be long wait in Dublin on the return.
