July Advice Please

Hello all

We have re arranged our trip, cancelled from Port Orleans October 2020 to Coronardo Springs July 2021

We have been 4 times to Disneyworld staying onsite each time, however we have always been between September to November .

Due to our grandchildren's exams etc etc we have had to book for July

I expect it to be busier and hotter ! But is there anything else you can tell me please
Any help is very much appreciated

Thank You

Humidity is brutal. We find that worse than the heat. Also expect daily downpours but don’t dread them - pray for them as they can help reduce the humidity 😊. Other than that it’s the usual -plan well, go out early and have a rest mid afternoon. This all depends of course on what park hours will be next year. All normal assumptions could be put the window.

We've been upwards of 12/13 times now and up until a few years ago, went in March/April.

It was cooler then, not as humid and although very busy at Easter, you packed in a lot because you weren't as 'tired out' with the heat.

Recently we started going on a longer 21 day trip in July, August.

The heat and humidity is seering at times.
I'd advise;

Wear white pure cotton clothing if you can
Take a sun hat or visor
Go early into the parks and be back to your onsite hotel by lunch-time as the sun is mega hot then.
If you suffer from the heat, buy 1 of their water bottle sprays (or take 1 with you)
Take a 'cooling' towel with you. They are brilliant!
Freeze water in a plastic bottle and take it with you.It lasts all day!

Take plenty of breaks and slow down as you won't get as much done as you would if you travel in spring or a cooler time.

We found early July (1sr week) was quieter than later on and as the children are back at school mid August in the US, We found the 2nd and 3rd week in August to be less busy too.

Hope this helps!

Above all, don't skip meals and stay hydrated.

I have never been before at that time of year but am going at the end of August. Someone recommended neck fans to me which I recently purchased. I got the JML ones from Wilko which were £10 each. Someone also recommended umbrellas to act as parasols or for the rain.

We've just cancelled our trip to POR in July for 5 days and are now staying in CSR in July for 7 days as it was way cheaper after applying the new 'offer'.

Just need flight restrictions travel advisory removed so as I can book flights !

fingers and toes crossed!
