Disney Pins help please

My DD8 and DD6 want a lanyard each so they can buy some pins on our next trip.
I wanted to get them a few to start them off and include them in the Disney bags they get before we leave.
I am looking on ebay and I have no clue what to look for in terms of genuine Disney pins.
Should I assume that the listings for 25 pins for £12.50 are fake rubbish.
They will most likely just want to collect a few cool pins but if they get offered a trade my a cast member I don't want to be passing on fakes.
What do I need to be looking for.
I have found that the Disney store online has no lanyards for sale which is why I ended up on ebay.
Also, is their anyway to fix a broken pin. DS8 got a limited Buzz lightyear badge pin a while back but it has lost its pins at the back.

pin back s arent sold in disney land paris im afraid only disney in florida seem to so if you know anyone going. Ive never brought from ebay but I think they sound to good to be true when they are normally 10+ euros for one. Limited edition have mickey heads engraved on the back other than that im not sure how to test that they're real

I have bought pin backs in DLP before - in the big shop in Studios. Also seen them in Disney Stores in UK, although maybe not now since they hardly sell pins any more.

If you live near a Disney store, maybe pop in and ask if they have any spare? The staff wear them so they might be nice and give you a spare couple!

You may get your lanyards at a local Disney store. It may be best to wait till you get to DLP and make it an extra surprise for them. Then they can pick a lanyard and some pins. There are starter sets that have a lanyard and a few pins in a set. That might be a good start.

I think the op is saying that the actual metal pins have broken off so the pin backs would be of no use. These pins are spot welded so repairing them would be quite a fiddly job.

We've bought pins from ebay 25 for £13.50 for three different trips and never had a problem trading them. My son loves this part of our holiday and has come back with some wonderful memories attached to each swap and pin.

There are genuine sellers on ebay, look for those that are selling complete sets or if you want a lanyard to look for starter sets. They will be on card backing usually sealed. We bought 2 starter sets and 4 further sets of pins for our 2 before we went to florida last year and they were identical to the sets being sold in the parks.
