Mobile Lockers at Universal

Just a heads up for those who don’t know. I didn’t know they had changed. Used to be free lockers at each ride n quite decent sized lockers we could get one and would all put our stuff in at each ride.
First ride we did today was The Mummy and we were really thrown. Ended up paying for one then realised there are free ones but to be fair you can’t get much on them.
Bit unfair I think tbh. At universal you HAVE to put lose items/bags etc in lockers and yet now they are charging $2 per locker. Dd also pointed out that generally men will have a hat/wallet/sunglasses which will easily fit in the free ones but women tend to have everything but the kitchen sink 😂😂 but like dd always has to have a bag with her medication in and she struggled to get her back in there.
But just wanted to give people the heads up.

We were there today. The lockers near Jurrasic Park were $4 for 1.5 hours. A bit steep.

Do you have to use lockers? I thought a small backpack was fine to take on the rides?

There are quite a few rides where you have to put all loose articles in a locker.

My DH sits out all the rides needing lockers bless him, but I do tend to lug a rucksack round, think I will aim for a much smaller bag next year and see if that will fit in ok

Paying for lockers is a rip off. You pay them $500 to get into the park and then they want you to pay for a locker. The small ones are free but too small for most families with a backpack.

I see groups trying to shove stuff into a small locker but everyone can have a locker using either a finger or ticket.
You can rent big lockers for the day near the entrance for $8 to $12 a day if you need a big bag
