Any campers on here ? Looking for some advice

We're looking at buying our first tent. We want it primarily for festival use, so not after anything too glamourous.
Any advice on brands or when the best time of year is to get one for the best deal ?

For festivals I would go cheap and cheerful. I wouldn�t personally invest much money into a festival tent they can easily be damaged at music festival campsites

Don't buy a tent from Asda. My daughter has one and is currently at Boardmasters and it is leaking like a sieve!

Will we ever go again?

We camp ourselves, and have always bought our tents at the end of the season - or during the camping and caravanning shows, where they tend to have good deals on. DH wants to get one of the air ones, but I'm not so sure. __________________
