Any campers on here ? Looking for some advice

We're looking at buying our first tent. We want it primarily for festival use, so not after anything too glamourous.
Any advice on brands or when the best time of year is to get one for the best deal ?
Thankyou campers xx

For festivals I would go cheap and cheerful. I wouldn’t personally invest much money into a festival tent they can easily be damaged at music festival campsites

Coleman Cortes Octagan.

It’s as beautiful in real life as in the pictures and goes up in 10 minutes.

Don't buy a tent from Asda. My daughter has one and is currently at Boardmasters and it is leaking like a sieve!

certainly wouldn't buy an expensive one if it's to be used for festivals. We bought our DD one for about £40.00 from Go Outdoors when they had a sale on. We camp ourselves, and have always bought our tents at the end of the season - or during the camping and caravanning shows, where they tend to have good deals on. DH wants to get one of the air ones, but I'm not so sure.
