She's a long way from the photographer. You're assuming she knows they are there and is smiling directly at the camera. That's not necessarily what has happened. The photographer could be two hundred or more yards away and has run off many, many shots from which the ones used are selected.

Ok, so assuming she doesn’t know, they’ve moved to Canada at least partly due to press intrusion. I do not believe any such shots have or would be taken and publish of the Cambridge children in the UK so it would seem to me it’s out of the frying pan into the fire (if I’m allowed to use such an expression).

Oh I agree. I said before that any expectation of less press intrusion is naive.

She is most definitely smiling at "someone", who she is smiling at we do not know, but she looks happy and relaxed and not in the slightest bit harassed so all is good 👍

Why is she smiling at someone? Do you never smile when walking around? If someone was taking a series of photos of you and printed the one where they caught you smiling would it look like you were smiling at someone?

And, to be honest, if by this point she realised the camera was there and was caught scowling she'd be hammered for that. She's in a no win situation really.

Loftus I can't argue with you about this as to me it's evident she is smiling at someone (could be a passer by) but you think it's just a smile, in all honesty I don't think I have ever smiled at thin air, we will just have to agree to disagree on this one.
